Dan Crowe

Senior Associate

Dan Crowe was born and bred in Canberra, attending Daramalan College in Dickson before studying at the Australian National University. Dan graduated with a double degree, comprising of a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in English) and a Bachelor of Laws. In 2007 he was awarded the John James Memorial Hospital Prize for Health Law.

Dan first started at Maliganis Edwards Johnson as a law clerk in 2002 and remained in this role continuously (aside from a six-month stint living and working in Europe) until he was admitted to practice in June 2007. He then stayed on at the firm as a junior solicitor, specialising in personal injury litigation.

In late 2007, Dan took up a position at a large national firm where he predominantly specialised in insurance litigation for both government clients and large private insurance companies. During this period, he gained an insight into the factors that drive and motivate insurance companies responding to personal injury and other claims, along with an understanding about the way these organisations operate.

Dan returned to Maliganis Edwards Johnson as a Senior Associate in March 2010 and has found his experiences working in the insurance litigation field to have been very helpful in providing advice to his personal injury clients and in assisting them achieve the best possible outcomes in their cases.

Outside of work, Dan likes to stay active and is a keen cyclist. He also plays squash, tennis, Oz-Tag, cricket and loves watching nearly all forms of football.
