MEJ continues to support reform for a fairer legal system for all
MEJ Senior Associate, Hassan Ehsan, has been elected ACT President of the Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA), a not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting access to justice and equality before the law.
Joining the firm in 2011, Hassan has been a member of the ACT branch committee since 2017, supporting law reform that ensures fairness for all individuals, regardless of their wealth, position, gender, sexuality, age, race or religious belief.
Hassan says he is grateful for the opportunity to lead the ACT branch of the ALA and contribute to protecting and promoting justice, freedom and the rights of the individual.
The ACT Branch of ALA will also be hosting their annual conference on Friday 19 August at Hotel Realm Canberra. Hassan is one of the featured speakers and will share an update on Historical Child Sexual Abuse litigation.
Registrations and more information on the conference can be found on the event website.
