Samuel was born and raised in country Tasmania until moving to Canberra in 2015. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the Australian National University in 2019.

He has since worked with the Department of Defence on commercial contracts, intellectual property, and procurement before moving to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to work on administrative law, constitutional law, and foreign policy.

Samuel then made the move into advocacy through the Community Legal sector, finding the greatest joy in communicating directly with clients and using the law as a tool to empower people. He then found his passion doing personal injury, human rights, and medical negligence litigation, particularly enjoying the hands-on aspects of mediations, settlement conferences and court appearances.

When he’s not at work you’ll find Samuel working on his vegetable garden, bushwalking, or reading novels in bed.
