Calling for witnesses of child abuse in the ACT

MEJ are investigating claims of physical and sexual abuse alleged to have been perpetrated at the following institutions:

Quamby Youth Detention Centre, between 2005 and 2008
Bimberi Youth Justice Centre, between 2008 and 2015

MEJ wishes to speak with any former employees, members of the community or victims who may have information to offer in relation to these institutions.

In particular, MEJ are interested in speaking with anyone who engaged with an officer/guard nicknamed “Chicken”.
