MEJ Charity Spotlight – Cancer Council ACT and RSPCA ACT
MEJ is proud of its Canberran roots, and each month the team selects two charities that contribute to making the nation’s capital a better place. The charities featured in this month’s spotlight are the Cancer Council ACT and the RSPCA ACT.
This month the Cancer Council ACT was chosen for their work in helping to promote a healthier community by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in the ACT region.
It coincides with the MEJ team taking on Relay for Life 2025 in Canberra in April. The annual event raises funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention and support services. It’s a chance for the community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, those going through a cancer experience and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost and to raise money to help save more lives.

The second charity chosen this month is the RSPCA ACT for their work to protect and care for all animals great and small. The organisation enforces animal cruelty laws, operates animal care, veterinary and adoption facilities, and raises community awareness regarding the humane treatment of animals.
We do a spotlight on local charities each month, giving our team a chance to celebrate and recognise the people and organisations that make a big difference in our community. Keep an eye out for our next via our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
