Congratulations to MEJ’s newest Associates
Three MEJ solicitors have been promoted in recognition of their hard work and delivering consistent results for our clients.
Thuto Disele, Samuel Wolfhagen, and Jack Reid are all now Associates, stepping into more senior roles while continuing to work closely with our clients. Together they have successfully closed many client cases and secured support and compensation for Canberrans who deserved better.
Managing Partner Kate Waterford congratulated the team on their promotion, saying she was proud of their hard work and dedication.
“The MEJ team manages some complex and difficult cases, and all three of these Associates have excelled in their delivery for clients and received glowing feedback,” Ms Waterford said.
“So many of the people we work with are going through really difficult periods of their lives, and we are proud to have a team that is compassionate, patient, and caring; while being fearless in their dedication to delivering the compensation our clients deserve.”
Thuto Disele joined MEJ in 2022 and has been managing medical negligence and abuse cases. She says she is proud to be working for MEJ.
“Since joining MEJ I have had the pleasure of meeting incredible and resilient people who have suffered extraordinary injuries and sought comfort in our expertise,” Thuto said.
“As a community focused firm determined to get the best outcome for our clients and their families, I am hopeful our combined results as a team will inspire others to come forward and share their stories.”
Samuel Wolfhagen has been supporting medical negligence and personal injury clients, and says his clients often have injuries that fundamentally change their lives.
“Being in significant pain and experiencing hardship places these people in a vulnerable position,” Samuel said.
“Understanding this and being able to advocate for my clients’ experiences is essential to my role as a personal injury lawyer, and incidentally is my favourite aspect of coming to work every day. I look forward to continuing to fight for injured members of our community as an Associate.”
Jack Reid’s speciality in personal injury has led him to some important wins for his clients, and he says it’s been a privilege to work alongside his clients.
“There is not much that feels better than getting a great result for a client that you have worked closely with and seeing what that result means for them” Jack said.
“I look forward to many more wins for clients in the coming years!”
