The MEJ team recently participated in Relay For Life, raising $3,507 for Cancer Council Australia—exceeding our initial $3,000 goal!

We wanted to give thanks to all of our donors and supporters, the organisers, and each member of the MEJ team who took part. In particular, we want to shout out Mirna Faraj for being our team lead and coordinator!

Relay For Life, which began in Australia in 1999, now engages over 134,000 participants nationwide annually, raising more than $14 million for cancer research, prevention programs, and support services.

The event has global significance, operating in over 20 countries since its 1985 inception by Dr. Gordy Klatt in the United States.

All proceeds from the event directly support Cancer Council’s work in local communities, funding research and providing support for those affected by cancer.

You can learn more about the event, or make a final donation on the Relay For Life website.
